Hublot Big Bang Veuve Clicquot Polo Ceramic
While Hublot presents itself as a luxury timepiece manufacturer, the brand surrounds itself with other luxury labels to celebrate occasions through commemorative pieces. Hublot is proud to announce its newest collaboration release with the team at Veuve Clicquot to celebrate the Polo Classic. As the Official Timekeeper, Hublot was on scene at Will Rogers State Historic Park on October 2nd for the ionic match. The all-new Hublot Big Bang Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic is presented as a 44mm chronograph crafted from micro-blasted black ceramic. The matte black styling carries into the dial design, which includes meticulous details like the orange seconds hand to signify the iconic Veuve Clicquot color.
Delivering power to the Hublot x Veuve Clicquot Big Bang is the brand’s in-house HUB4100 self-winding chronograph movement, which is capable of holding a 42-hour power reserve and 100-meter water resistance. The transparent backcase allows for a closer looking at the inner workings of Hublot’s state-of-the-art movement technology, while the sapphire is etched with the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic logo to mark the limited-edition release. Adding an elegant feel to the new Big Bang, Hublot fits each example with a large scale alligator leather strap with Veuve Clicquot orange contrast stitching. The Hublot Big Bang Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic chronograph is limited to only 30-pieces and is available through an authorized dealer for $18,200. Reuniting with its LVMH sister brand, Veuve Clicquot, the two luxury houses created the Big Bang Veuve Clicquot Polo Ceramic. Limited to only thirty pieces, the 44mm comes complete with two strap options: black alligator with yellow stitching and yellow alligator with black stitching, integrating Veuve Clicquot’s iconic yellow into the Big Bang design beautifully. Never a brand to shy away from the finer details, Hublot carefully detailed this limited edition piece. These fine details include the self-winding Hublot HUB4100 chronograph movement with a 42-hour power reserve, a micro-blasted black ceramic case with H-shaped black PVD titanium screws, and a second hand done in Veuve Clicquot’s signature yellow. In all, the details in this piece bring alive Veuve Clicquot’s mantra, “Only one quality, the finest.” And though it would hardly be advised you wear the timepiece while playing polo, the watch would be ideal for a post-match toast.
As the polo match came to end and the final chucker was called, Ignacio “Nacho” Figueras and wife Delfina Blaquier led Team Veuve Clicquot to victory. To celebrate the victory and Blaquier’s resultant MVP title, she was presented a Racing Grey Diamond Classic Fusion from Hublot. Though I am an East Coaster at heart, after spending one sunny Saturday in Los Angeles with Hublot at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, my proclivities toward New York run out faster than a bottle of champagne at a polo match.
