Omega De Ville Trésor Master Chronometer Power Reserve
OMEGA is introducing the Omega De Ville Trésor Power Reserve, the first variation in a series of new Trésor models. The new editions will be available with various material and colour combinations. For example, some will only have a small seconds, while others will also feature a power reserve indicator. The latter can be found on the first model [below], which has a classic gold case and offers a METAS-certified movement with manual winding.
The Omega De Ville Trésor Power Reserve comes in an 18-carat yellow gold case with a diameter of 40 mm. With an overall height of 10.07 mm, it is also extremely slender. A crown bearing the OMEGA logo complements the fully polished case. In addition, a domed box sapphire crystal protects the front.
The crystal silver dial of the Trésor Power Reserve
The crystal silver dial of the Trésor Power Reserve is also domed. The applied indices and the minute hand in 18-carat gold follow this shape. A new feature is the power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock, which complements the small seconds at 6 o’clock. Due to the arrangement of the sub-dials, the OMEGA logo moves to 3 o’clock. On the opposite side at 9 o’clock is the “Omega CO-AXIAL MASTER CHRONOMETER” lettering.
The calibre 8935 powers the Trésor Power Reserve
OMEGA uses its own calibre 8935 with manual winding. It has two barrels that together provide a power reserve of 72 hours. The movement with Co-Axial escapement has a silicon hairspring that beats at a frequency of 3.5 Hz. In addition, the watch bears the METAS certificate, which guarantees resistance to magnetic fields, among other things. Finally, the manufacture decorates the movement with Geneva strip arabesques and blackened screws. OMEGA has also installed a balance bridge made of 18-carat Sedna gold.
First launched by Omega in 1949, the Trésor line combines style and technical excellence for the refined gentleman. We highlight here two new models in the collection. The first comes in a 40 mm stainless steel case with a polished finish.A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the domed blue dial characterized by a brass-stamped pattern and enhanced by polished hands and domed indexes, all in 18K white gold. This model is powered by the Calibre 8910, a hand-wound movement with Co-Axial escapement beating at a frequency of 3.5 Hz (25,200 vph) with a power reserve of 72 hours. Certified as a Master Chronometer by METAS (Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology) and resistant to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss, the movement is equipped with a free-sprung balance with silicon balance spring and embellished by rhodium plated finish with Geneva waves in arabesque.Presented on a blue leather strap, the Omega De Ville Tresor ref. 435.13.40.21.03.001 has a price of Euro 6,100 / US$ 6,500.
The second model is crafted from Sedna gold (a rose gold alloy which blends gold, palladium and copper) and features a domed grey dial made from enamel using the “Grand Feu” technique, with polished hands and domed indexes in Sedna gold. The logo and wording on the dial are enamel prints achieved through a “Petit Feu” technique. With the “Grand Feu” decorative technique, patterns are not painted but created by applying oxides to the dial which is then fired at high temperatures until the patterns appear.
This model is driven by the Omega Master Co-Axial Calibre 8929, a variation of the 8910 hand-wound movement featuring a special luxury finish with a Sedna gold balance bridge.Matched to a grey leather strap, the Omega De Ville Tresor ref. 435.53.40.21.06.001 has a price of Euro 14,000 / US$ 15,000.
